Caesarea, Haifa & zikhron Yaakov tour

Caesarea is the largest National and Archaeological park in tne Land.  Once famous and one of the largest cities in Palestine from the 1st till the 7th CE, it felt into oblivion in the Moslem era. The ruins were  restored and turned into a recreation area through the initiative of  the "the well known benefactor", baron Edmond James de Rothschild.

We will see the restored Roman theater, hippodrome ,remains of the streets and bath houses, ruins of the artificial port built by one of the greatest builders of the past - king Herod the Great.

Haifa is the third largest and one of the most beautiful cities in the Land of Israel. It was built on the slopes of the famous Mount Carmel associated with the prophet Elijah. 

We will see one of the wonders of the world, terraced Baha'i gardens, proclaimed UNESCO heritage, then 

historic German colony quarter built by the German Protestant Templar community.

We can have lunch in one of many nice restaurants of the German Colony.

We will also see Stella Maris monastery of the Carmelite Catholic order and the cave of prophet Elijah in there.

Then in 35 km (22 ml) south of Haifa we will visit a town called Zikhron Yaakov. It was established in 1882 by Edmond de Rothschild and called in honor of his father, James (Yaakov) Meir.

We will have a tour and of wine tasting in Israel`s oldest Carmel Winery. It is the main producer of wine in the Land and produces half of all Israel's wine market. It is also the largest producer of kosher wine in the world.
